Bridge to Care

The Trump administration’s defunding of Planned Parenthood was an ultimatum: Stop providing abortions or lose Medicaid funding — funding that 75% of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s (PPMM) patients rely on for services like birth control, cancer screenings, STI testing, gender-affirming care, and more. But PPMM won’t compromise when it comes to providing the care their patients need and depend on.

The Charitable Trust for Sexual & Reproductive Health cannot — will not — turn our backs on Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s patients. Whether they live locally or are forced to travel here for care, the people who count on PPMM for care can count on us, too. We know there is no one else that can fill the devastating gap in abortion access that too many people are facing.

The Path Forward: Bridge to Care

The most harmful cuts to Medicaid are coming in January 2027. PPMM must continue to care for whoever needs them — there is no one to fill the gap.

Planned Parenthood Mar Monte is rooted in innovation and resilience. They had a plan for every crisis before it happened, and now they have a plan to ensure their doors stay open — no matter what.

PILLAR 1
State Support

In FY26 (ending June 30, 2026), we are receiving generous state investments from California, with Nevada also stepping up to contribute.

This funding helps close the gap and allows PPMM to continue serving patients.

But with a billion dollar deficit in the CA state budget in FY27 (beginning July 1, 2026), future funding looks less promising.

PILLAR 2
New Services

PPMM is introducing new health care services this year that will be welcomed by existing patients along with people who relied on Planned Parenthood for their health care 10, 20, or even 30 years ago.

Once fully implemented, revenue from these new services will help support PPMM’s comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care, ensuring patients with low incomes don’t lose access to essential care from their trusted provider.

PILLAR 3

Philanthropic Support

Because of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s commitment to providing abortion care, in FY27, they are looking at a serious budget shortfall. To continue serving 300,000+ patient visits a year, they need to raise $50 million for patient care before January 1, 2027.

Your gift to the Charitable Trust for Sexual & Reproductive Health in support of PPMM’s Bridge to Care campaign will help sustain the trusted care patients rely on today while strengthening PPMM’s future.

5% of your gift will remain with CTSRH to build an endowment fund, protecting access to care for years to come — no matter what.

Give today.
